Debutante Alvin “Buffa” Otieno is one of four changes to the Kenya squad that will do duty at the Hong Kong and Singapore Sevens.
The Menengai Cream Homeboyz winger makes the travelling twelve alongside Frank Wanyama, Nelson Oyoo and Robert Aringo. The quartet replace Leonard Mugaisi, Oscar Ouma, Billy Odhiambo and Dennis Ombachi who are all ruled out through injury.
The team is in Pool A for the Hong Kong Sevens alongside Samoa, France and New Zealand. They kick off their fixtures with a match against Samoa at 1.10pm East African Time on Friday 8 April before playing New Zealand at 6.40am on Saturday 9 April. They wind up their preliminary fixtures with a match against France at 10.18am.
