Menengai Cream Homeboyz survived a late Strathmore Leos rally to pull off a 22-18 result, and with that, win the Plate Title at the Impala Floodlit Rugby tournament on Saturday evening.
It was double joy for the Menengai stable as Menengai Oilers saw off Blak Blad II 24-15 to win the Varsties title.
Other fixtures played on the last day of the Kenya Cup pre-season warm up tournament saw Laiser Hill hold on to their schools crown after beating Ofafa Jericho 21-15 as Thika Road edged Ngong Road 10-8 to win the newly introduced women’s competition.
