With the curtains finally falling on the Kenyan sevens season, attention now shifts to the longer version of the game.
The pre-season Impala Floodlit tournament has since its inception in 1983 served as a pre-cursor to the Kenya Cup league season and it returns once again with action played out over three weekends from the 1st to 15th of October at the Impala Club.
The tournament will feature action in three categories; schools, varsities and clubs and kicks off at the quarterfinal stage.
Champions KCB have been drawn against Menengai Cream Homeboyz in the pick of the round in the clubs category on match day one. Other matches on the day feature Resolution Impala Saracens against the Strathmore Leos as Mwamba take on Kenya Harlequin. Blak Blad will tough it out against Top Fry Nakuru.
