A number of the postponed Nationwide matches across the country will be played this weekend as the league heads to the regional playoffs on the 15th of February.
In Central Region, Nanyuki Jackals hosts Chuka RFC at the Nanyuki Sports Club while JKUAT faces Embu at the Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology grounds. Heading into this match, JKUAT has already cemented their second-place position as they are seven points ahead of third place and opponent Embu. Chuka Vikings are seventh on the log while Nanyuki has had a season to forget as they are currently ninth on the log having picked one win in eight outings.
In Western Region, it’s a battle for the top position as log leaders Maseno University welcome second-placed Citam Kisumu. The two have three points separating them, Maseno with 37 and Citam with 34. In the same region, Mbale will host Webuye in a battle between the eighth and seventh teams on the log respectively.
At the Machakos Showgrounds, Masaku will take on Stingers in the only Nationwide fixture in this specific league while Daystar hosts Strathmore II in Athi River as Catholic Monks II head to Rongai to meet Nazarene. On Wednesday, Strathmore II beat TUK 154-0 in what was a postponed encounter.
St. Joseph’s Ukunda will host the second leg of the Coast Region Festival that will be played in a round-robin format in the following order:
TUM vs Spartans
Malindi vs Coastal Raiders
SC Buccaneers vs Spartans
Shepherds vs C.Raiders
TUM vs SC Buccaneers
Malindi vs Spartans
All matches will kick off at 3:00 pm with an exception of the Coast Region festival.
