Menengai Oilers have had one of the best first seasons any team could wish for. Having appeared in the Nationwide league for the first time in the 2016/2017 season, they will be the talk of town this week in the rugby circles. In their first season, they have made it to the Nationwide finals and with that securing a promotion slot in the KRU Championship league next season. Oilers edged Ngong RFC out of the finals in a match played at Kibiko Secondary where the visitors registered a 8-0 score over their hosts.
They will meet their Rift Valley counter parts Egerton Wasps next weekend in the Finals. Egerton welcomed MKU Nairobi to Njoro a semi final that saw the hosts bag a 30-10 win over the MKU boys.
