SportPesa Quins posted a 33-14 win over Top Fry Nakuru at the RFUEA, a result that saw them move to within a point of leaders KCB who fell to a 24-33 home defeat to Menengai Cream Homeboyz.
Kevin Keegan kicked over two penalties to give Quins a 6-0 but Coleman Were’s and Martin Muita’s conversion saw Nakuru go 7-6 up.
Quins regrouped, Peter Misango scoring an unconverted try off the rolling maul before the lively Ginton Adongo landed the hosts third try for a 16-7 lead.
Cassius Omolo responded for Nakuru, Muita converting for a 16-14 score, the match finely poised at this point.
Kevin Keegan would then add another penalty before converting Frank Wanyama and Pius Shiundu’s tries to secure the result, an apt way to bounce back from last weekend’s 7-15 loss away to Mwamba.
