Tied 3-3 at the break, hosts Resolution Impala Saracens edged neighbors Kenya Harlequin 13-11 to set up a final date against champions KCB at the Impala Floodlit tournament.
Quinto Ongo would spurn a try scoring opportunity early on, unable to gather Nato Simiyu’s perfectly weighted pass on six minutes.
Lyle Asiligwa would put Quins ahead with a 26 minute penalty, Simiyu drilling home a response for the Sarries just before the break.
Former Sarries man Pius Shiundu would retake the lead for Quins, his unconverted try at the corner putting his side 8-3 up but Ongo would score and convert to put the hosts 10-8 up.
When Quins retook the lead through Kevin Keegan’s penalty, they also managed to hold sway, with the intention of closing out the game, only to be stung by Ongo’s successful goal attempt after conceding a penalty at the death.
