Homeboyz RFC eighth man Joshua Chisanga will be back in action in less than a week’s time.
This is according to his Coach Paul Murunga who intimated that the big number 8 has been training and showing steady progress in recent weeks.
Softer surface
Chisanga, who made his debut for Kenya during the Elgon Cup in 2013, injured his knee during Kenya’s maiden show at the Vodacom Cup in South Africa early last year. Things got worse for him later in June when Kenya participated in the 2015 World Cup qualifiers in Madagascar.
But the Deejays Coach Murunga now expects him back in action as soon as the 17th of January when Homeboyz face off with Strathmore Leos during match day eight of the Kenya Cup.
“Chisanga trained in December and his injured knee proved to be getting back in shape. He has been training lately at the beach in Mombasa which is a softer surface for his recuperating knee” Murunga said to ragahouse.com
“He is coming around pretty well and I will probably have him back on the field next weekend. I will give him ten minutes or so to reintroduce him back to the game.” added Murunga
Due to his layoff, Chisanga has missed out on all seven Kenya Cup games played by the Deejays so far.
