Top Fry Nakuru’s perfect run to the season came to a screeching halt last weekend, finding themselves on the wrong end of a 25-23 result against Menengai Cream Homeboyz at the Jamhuri Park.
Head Coach Dominique Habimana has been quoted in a section of the press as saying that his side must improve. Well,as they improve, they must bounce back to winning ways and what better way to do this than against Kabras Sugar at the Kakamega Showground on Saturday 12 December.
It will be remembered that Kabras ended Nakuru’s two year hold on the Kenya Cup with a 15-12 win in a frantic semifinal encounter at the Nakuru Athletic Club on Saturday7 March and that provides partial motivation to the Wanyore when they step out to the Showground turf on Saturday. The rest of the motivation will be drawn from the routine urge to win.
Habimana boasts a plethora of talent in the likes of Martin Muita, Martin Owilla, Edwins Makori, Don Aluoch and Ed Okemwa who will be called upon to inspire confidence and leadership against a very formidable opponent in the form of Kabras Sugar.
That neither side is willing to lose (and fall further behind in the league standings) makes Saturday’s clash one of the weekend’s top drawers, and most definitely the must-watch game in Kakamega.
