KCB returned to winning ways with a 25-14 win over Menengai Cream Homeboyz in the day’s top bill at the Impala Club on Saturday 19 March 2016.

Former Kenya U19 international Philip Ikambili, who was recently named in the 42 man provisional Kenya Simbas squad got the deejays off the mark with a try converted by Kelvin Masai.

Keen to avoid a repeat of the match day nine loss to the same opponent, KCB stayed in the game, touching down through last season’s top try scorer, Kenya international prop forward Curtis Lilako. Darwin Mukidza drew the teams level with the ensuing conversion before scoring and converting his own try as KCB took a 14-7 lead into the breather.

Kenny Andola’s drop goal on the restart extended the scores to 17-7 before Collins Wanjala put the banker’s further ahead with an unconverted try to bring the score to 22-7. Mukidza put the game further out of reach for the deejays, his penalty taking KCB 25-7 up before the deejays scored a converted try off an Alvin Otieno intercept, scant consolation as they fell to the defeat which jeopardizes their playoff chances.
