Saturday 4th May holds a lot in store for the last four teams in the Nationwide League. Northern Suburbs, Moi University, Eldoret RFC and Maseno University are all through to the League semifinals and are one match away from their promotion to the KRU Championship League.
The semifinal matches in this specific league are the most crucial for the four sides since the two eventual finalists will have earned themselves a promotion to the 2019/2020 KRU Championship league. Subsequently, the last two teams in the Championship league, Kitale RFC and Ngong Warriors RFC are relegated to the Nationwide come 2019/2020 season.
Maseno beat the Technical University of Mombasa 23-20, Moi University registered a 27-17 win over JKUAT, Eldoret RFC secured a 8-3 win over Stingers RFC while Northern Suburbs Cubs completely shut Jaramogi University out of the semifinals with a 41-0 win at the Catholic University of East Africa.
Maseno University hosts the Eldoret RFC on Saturday while the Northern Suburbs Cubs make the five-hour journey to Eldoret to meet the Moi University Arsonists.
Both matches will kick off at 3:00pm in their respective venues.
