Defending champions Kabras Sugar set up a repeat Enterprise Cup final against KCB after emerging victorious in their semifinal in Kakamega on Saturday.
Kabras, who won last year’s final 9-6, were made to fight for the 19-17 result over Menengai Oilers.
Biden Hayo put Kabras ahead with Valerian Tendwa converting for a 7-0 lead before touching down again to put Kabras 12-0 up.
Tendwa then converted Bryceson Adaka’s try as Kabras were coasting, 19-0 up.
Oilers responded with two converted tries that brought the scores to 19-14 at half time.
A Geoff Ominde penalty made it 19-17 but Kabras held on for the result.
Meanwhile, KCB reached the final with a 64-3 win over Impala Saracens in Ruaraka.
The bankers led 33-0 at the break, scoring five tries through Griffin Musila who landed a brace with Jacob Ojee, Eugene Sirima and Festus Shiasi adding one each as Darwin Mukidza kicked over four conversions.
Musila added his third with Mukidza landing twice before Felix Ojoo and Edwin Otieno got on the scoresheet. Mukiza added conversion with Shaban Ahmed drilling home two as Calvin Omondi scored a penalty for Impala.
The final will be played next weekend at the RFUEA Ground.
