Brian Ochan slotted home three first half penalties before the Heathens rallied,Arthur Mukama touching down on 64 minutes before Philip Wokorach scored and converted his own try four minutes later.Alex Mubiru scored a third try to see the Heathens go 17-9 up. Ivan Magomu added a late penalty for Pirates as the match ended 17-12.
Other fixtures saw champions Kobs edge Mongers 22-16,a result that sees them stay second on the log with 33 points, two behind Heathens.
Rhinos won on the road, beating Mutoni Warriors 22-6 while Toyota Buffaloes were 24-3 winners over Impis.
