Menengai Cream Homeboyz made it three wins in a row, edging visiting Western Bulls 25-21 in Kenya Cup match day four action at the RFUEA on Saturday 12 December 2015.
Collins Shikoli set up Hum Mulama for the deejays’ opening try, Kelvin Masai missing the conversion but made sure of the conversion after Philip Ikambili’s conversion to see his side lead 12-0.
Bulls would slowly edge back into the match, eventually getting off the mark when Elkins Musonye went over the chalk from Dun Abuyeka’s offload, Isaac Wafula converting for the 12-7 half time score.
Howard Okwemba’s half time pep talk breathed life into the Bulls who dominated the opening ten minutes of the second half, eventually scoring through Frank Isutsa from the rolling maul, Wafula sure with the conversion that gave them a 14-12 lead.
Masai would add a drop goal and penalty as Homeboyz went 18-14 up before converting Max Kang’eri’s try to see his side 25-14 up.
Brian Watson chipped and gathered the high ball, touching down for the Bulls with Foster Isiche converting for the final result.
