Blak Blad and Menengai Oilers were the first two sides to reach the semifinal at the Impala Floodlit pre-season tournament after winning their quarterfinal fixtures on Saturday 29 October 2022.
Blak Blad were made to fight for the 22-19 victory against the Strathmore Leos in the first fixture before Menengai Oilers defeat Nakuru 26-13 in the second fixture.
The third quarterfinal between Impala and Nondescripts was suspended at half time due to a power outage that rendered visibility difficult amidst player safety concerns. Nondies were leading hosts Impala 15-0 at the time.
This fixture will resume at 5.00pm on Wednesday evening before champions KCB face Kenya Harlequin in the day’s last fixture at 6.30pm.
There were two matches played in the Victoria 15s quarterfinals in Kakamega. Masinde Muliro and Kabras Sugar joined Kisumu and Western Bulls in the semifinals after winning their encounters.
Masinde Muliro were 51-0 winners over Eldoret while Kabras Sugar defeated Mbale 46-0.
