There will be two double headers on Kenya Cup match day two in Nairobi and Kakamega.
Blak Blad who fell to an opening day 32-14 loss to Lunch Bar Quins will host Pan Africa Strathmore Leos in the opening fixture at the University of Nairobi grounds, paving the way for home team Mean Machine to face Quins in the 4.00pm encounter. Machine lost their opening day fixture, falling to a 71-3 mauling at the hands of Homeboyz and will be out to stop Quins from registering a second win on the trot.
The early kick off at the Kakamega High School grounds sees debutants Kabras Sugar welcome champions Top Fry Nakuru. Kabras were not embarrassed in their maiden fixture last weekend, going down 13-3 to KCB and will look to restrict Nakuru, 112-6 winners over another newly promoted side Catholic Monks.
This match will set the stage for the match between home side Western Bulls and Mwamba, who incidentally share the same sponsor. Bulls started their campaign with a 19-17 win over Nondies while Mwamba posted a 40-29 result over Resolution Impala Saracens.
Other fixtures
The rest of the weekend’s fixtures see Nondies host Catholic Monks at the Jamhuri Park. Both sides were on the losing end on match day one, Nondies going down 19-17 to Western Bulls while the Monks were given a rude welcome to the top flight, torn to shreds in their 112-6 defeat away to Nakuru last weekend.
