Kabras Sugar RFC remain unbeaten after nine weeks of the Kenya Cup action. They beat the Kenya Harlequins 21-3 at the RFUEA Grounds with three beautifully orchestrated tries; two coming from Philip Wokorach and one from Kenya Simbas International George Nyambua.
Lyle Asiligwa gave the hosts an early three-point lead that ended up being the only points this side would pick at the end of the 80 minutes. The first try came from Wokorach, who sold his signature dummy that saw the Kenya Harlequins defense line buy it in full price. Wokorach would then sprint for Kabras’ first try and then add the conversion.
Brian Tanga was at the heart of the second try as he broke the Quins defense, sent the ball wide to find Kevin Keegan who easily and skillfully side stepped his man on the wing, off loaded to Nyambua who dotted down at the second try. Wokorach added the extras, Kabras leading 14-3 at the breather. Kabras’ third and final try sprouted from deep inside their half, Tanga cleared the ruck and dummied his defense, raced halfway down the pitch before being tackled. The ball was yet again sent wide, landed into Wokorach’s hands and he jogged into the try box extending their lead to 21-3. Scores would remain the same to full time.
