Defending champions Kabras Sugar host last season’s beaten finalists Menengai Oilers in one of six matches on the final day of the 2022/23 Kenya Cup regular season.
This match at the Kakamega Showground sees Kabras, who have won all 10 of their outings to date and top the standings, out to head into the playoffs on a perfect note. Carlos Katywa’s men come into this clash on a high, having edged their arch nemesis KCB 29-23 in a thrilling match day 10 encounter last weekend at Ruaraka.
Gibson Weru’s Oilers, currently placed third, are also through to the playoffs. They warmed up for this clash with a 55-5 win over the Catholic Monks last weekend. They will look to exert themselves as they take on their hosts in a repeat of last’s final.
Second placed KCB make the short trip to the University of Nairobi keen to bounce back from last weekend’s home defeat to Kabras Sugar as they take on relegation threatened Mean Machine who must emerge victorious if they are to keep the fate of their Kenya Cup survival in their own hands.
Other matches on the day pit Kenya Harlequin against Strathmore Leos at the RFUEA as Masinde Muliro have one last roll of the dice when they host Mwamba in Kakamega.
Homeboyz will play Blak Blad at the Jamhuri Park.
