Kabras Sugar survived a late rally from hosts Kenya Harlequin, reaching a second successive Kenya Cup final with a 19-15 semifinal at the RFUEA Grounds on Saturday 30 April 2016.
The hosts opened the scoring in mid first half, Lyle Asiligwa slotting home a penalty for a 3-0 score but Levi Ochieng touched down for Kabras, Fabian Olando converting for a 7-3 score heading into half time.
Further tries from Nick Barasa and Brian Tanga in between Olando’s conversion saw Kabras go 19-3 up but found this buffer severely eroded when former Kenya international Vincent Ong’era went over, Kevin Keegan converting to make it 19-10 before David Ambunya’s unconverted try brought the score to 19-15, Kabras earning a second stab at the league title after reaching the final in their debut season.
