Champions KCB returned to winning ways with a 27-19 away to Mwamba to stay third after Kenya Cup match day eight.
Kenny Andola converted Elly Mukaisi’s try to give the bankers a 7-0 lead before drilling home a penalty for a 10-0 lead. Felix Wanjala would add a drop goal to take the scores to 13-0 before Horace Otieno’s try cut the deficit to 13-5 at the interval.
Jimmy Kilonzo would score after the interval, Andola converting for a 20-5 score but Mwamba kept in touch, Danny Sikuta scoring a well worked try with Tito Oduk converting to make it 20-12.
Andola would later convert Oliver Mang’eni’s try before Lavin Asego replied in kind, converting Edwin Machanje’s try as the game ended 27-19 to KCB who were winless in their two previous outings prior to the Mwamba clash.
