KCB went top of the Kenya Cup log with a 33-3 demolition of bitter rivals Top Fry Nakuru at the KCB Sports Club in Ruaraka.
The bankers opened the scoring through Darwin Mukidza’s penalty before Peter Karia landed an unconverted try off a rolling maul to take the score to 8-0. Mukidza would then convert Oliver Mang’eni’s try for a 15-0 lead at the interval.
Mukidza and Nakuru’s Henry Ayah traded penalties, the scores 18-3 at this point before the bankers landed further tries, first from Nick Ongeri and Collins Wanjala before Mukidza sealed the result with a late try at the corner, this result KCB’s first Kenya Cup win over Nakuru since 2011.
