KCB stayed top of the Kenya Cup log with a 27-12 bonus point win away to Top Fry Nakuru at the Nakuru Athletic Club on Saturday.
They went ahead through Darwin Mukidza’s penalty before Nick Ongeri landed a try, Mukidza sure with the extras for a 10-0 score, a lead the bankers held going into the break.
Nakuru were quick off the mark after the restart, Charles Odhiambo barging over to cut the deficit for the Wanyore but Jacob Ojee scored after hard work by the KCB forwards, Mukidza slotting home the conversion for a 17-5 lead.
It was soon 22-5 after replacement Rocky Aguko barged over before Ongeri landed brace to see KCB land their bonus point, 27-5 they led. Don Aluoch would land late for the hosts, Henry Ayah converting for the 27-12 full time score.
Elsewhere, Kabras Sugar pulled off the highest score of the season thus far, pulverizing hosts Regional Logistics CFS Mombasa to a 77-3 submission at the Mombasa Sports Club while Resolution Impala Saracens were 17-12 winners over Nondescripts.
Blak Blad fell 48-20 to SportPesa Quins at the RFUEA Ground as Menengai Cream Homeboyz eked out a 27-21 bonus point win away to hosts Resolution Kisii.
The Strathmore Leos ensured Mwamba stayed winless with a 28-17 result, their first win of the season while Mwamba succumbed to their fourth successive loss of the campaign thus far.
