The upcoming Kenya Cup season promises to be thrilling, with a fresh lineup of coaches stepping in across several clubs. One of the standout moves this year sees former Kenya 15s international, Oliver Mang’eni, taking the helm as head coach of KCB Rugby. This follows the departure of long-serving coach Curtis Olago, who bids farewell to the club after an impressive seven-year tenure. Oliver, having honed his skills as an assistant under the experienced Olago, now steps up to lead KCB, while his mentor transitions to the national 15s team.
Other clubs have also made significant changes to their technical setups, including Mwamba RFC, which has acquired the services of Mark Mshila to restructure the club’s hopes of victory during the league competition.Louis Kisia is set to be in charge of Impala after they made a comeback to Kenya Cup this season.Willis Ojal replaces Louis Kisia as Strathmore Leos head coach.With a trip back to the lakeside city of Kisumu, the team having secured another season in the Kenya cup will be under the guidance of veteran Howard Okwemba.
Other notable coaches in this year’s Kenya Cup Competition include Paul Murunga from Kenya Harlequins, Gibson Weru from Menengai Oilers and Bernard Rotich (Tichi) from Kenya Cup University team – Blak Blad. All Kenya cup coaches for the next season will be as follows :
