Kenya Harlequin’s 25-15 home victory over Menengai Oilers was their first win of the season, and what a big it was, lifting them off the league’s basement to ninth position with 6 points, same as tenth placed Nondes but with a superior goal difference.
Resolution Impala Saracens were the beneficiaries of Homeboyz maiden defeat this season, climbing to third on the log with 20 points after beating Kisumu 41-5 at the Mamboleo Showground in Kisumu. The deejays slipped one place down to fourth after their Ruaraka heartbreak while Stanbic Mwamba ‘s 27-17 win over Nondescripts at the Railway Club saw them consolidate fifth place.
A third successive loss sees Menengai Oilers placed sixth on the log on 11 points, just one ahead of their cross town rivals Top Fry Nakuru whose second win on the bounce, a 23-10 victory over Western Bulls lifted them up to seventh on the log. Blak Blad are currently placed eighth on the table with 7 points while promoted sides Western Bulls and Kisumu occupy eleventh and twelfth positions on the table after succumbing to home defeats against Nakuru and Impala respectively.
