The Kenya Cup league enters matchday eleven on Saturday 31st July with three fixtures at hand: League leaders KCB host Top Fry Nakuru at the KCB Lion’s Den while the Impala Grounds hosts two matches; Impala Saracens versus Strathmore Leos kicks off at 1:00 pm followed by the Mwamba vs Nondies clash at 3:00 pm.
In the early kick-off match, hosts Impala had a bye last weekend and they head into this match having played five matches, winning and losing two while drawing one placing them fifth on the log while their opponents Strathmore Leos have played six matches. They head into this fixture behind the background of an exemplary 44-5 victory over Top Fry Nakuru, played at the RFUEA Grounds on 24th July 2021.
An Impala bonus-point win will see them level their points with Strathmore since Impala have a total of eleven points while Strathmore has 16.
Mwamba RFC is tenth on the log with three losses, one draw, and one win. They head into this fixture seeking a match-needed win against seventh-placed Nondies after suffering a 3-50 loss to the Bankers last Saturday. Nondies on the other hand have registered two back-to-back wins in the last two weekends, beating Kenya Harlequins 18-5 and Blakblad 34-13 respectively.
At the KCB Sports Club, hosts welcome eighth-placed Top Fry Nakuru as they seek to maintain their lead with a victory. Nakuru will also be looking to register their third win of the season having played seven matches and won two so far.
The other five teams will take a break this weekend: Kabras Sugar RFC, Kenya Harlequins, Blakblad, Menengai Oilers, and MMUST.
