Pan Africa Strathmore Leos returned to winning ways with a 32-15 win over Kenya Harlequin at the KCB Sports Club on Saturday.
It was Quins who went ahead through former Leos player Brian Okwomi who grounded the ball for a 5-0 lead.
Adrian Opondo restored parity for the Leos, touching down with Kenny Andola converting to
put them ahead for the first time in this game.
Churchill Ooko would score two tries in quick succession, Andola managing one conversion to see his side lead 19-5 before Okwomi landed his brace for a 19-10 half time score.
Two Andola penalties increased the Leos lead to 25-10 before Alex Olaba scored their bonus point try, Jeffrey Githaiga converting for a 32-10 lead.
Sidney Ashioya would grab a consolation try for Quins as the Leos finished the match with
13 men following Andola’s red card and Tony Onyango’s dispatch to the sin bin.
This result saw the Leos consolidate third place on the standings while further complicating
Quins playoff qualification chances.
