Siblings and two of the Kenya Rugby Referees Association top Officials have been tasked with taking charge of the Kenya Cup playoffs on Saturday 27th of April. Linus Kinuthia will be at the RFUEA Grounds for the Ngong Road Derby between third placed Kenya Harlequins and sixth placed Resolution Impala Saracens while his elder brother Moses Ndung’u heads to the Nakuru Athletics Club for the Top Fry Nakuru-Stanbic Mwamba clash.
The derby winner sets up a Ruaraka date with the Kenya Cup defending Champions KCB RC while the winner between Nakuru and Mwamba will head down to Kakamega to face Kabras Sugar RFC.
Innocent Kimathi and Duncan Kioko will take charge of the Eric Shirley Shield playoffs: Kimathi will officate the Resolution Impala Saracens and Top Fry Nakuru match while Kioko will take charge of the Menengai Cream Homeboyz versus Kenya Harlequins at the Jamhuri Showgrounds.
Beryl Akinyi and Noreen Liyosi are in charge of the KRU Championship playoffs. Beryl heads to Kisumu for the Kisumu RFC versus Masinde Muliro University clash at the Mamboleo ASK Showgrounds while Noreen takes charge of the Western Bulls and Regional Logistics Mombasa RFC clash at the BullRing, Kakamega.
The winner of the fixture in Kisumu will face the Catholic Monks on 11th May in the semifinals while USIU lies in wait for the winner between the Bulls and Mombasa clash.
Eugene Gitonga will officiate the Maseno University and TUM match at the Maseno University while Joseph Mumo will be the man at the centre of the Moi University-JKUAT clash. The second fixture in Eldoret between Eldoret RFC and Stingers RFC will be under Alumasa Bonfotra’s officiating with Said Kenya taking charge of the Northern Suburbs and Jaramogi University match at the Catholic University.
