Red hot (or is it rock solid?) Mwamba host a floundering Top Fry Nakuru in Kenya Cup match six action at the Impala Club on Saturday 10 December 2016.
Mwamba come into this fixture off the back of two massive results, 55-10 over Western Bulls and 53-8 over Mean Machine, and will look to build on the momentum gained from those two results when they host a Nakuru side that beat them 26-11 in match day one action at the Nakuru Athletic Club on Saturday 5 November 2016.
Kevin Wambua’s charges would, after the opening day loss, slip to narrow losses against KCB (24-27) and Kabras Sugar (11-20) while Nakuru, after beating Machine 41-7 on match day two, would slip to a 3-33 loss away to KCB before losing 15-19 at home to Kabras Sugar. They returned to winning ways with last weekend’s 41-10 win away to Western Bulls.
Young Brigden Anditi has been in fine form for Kulabu, his six touchdowns testament of this. Teaming up with Greg Odhiambo,Brad Owako and Steve Sikuta, under the guidance of the experienced trio of Humphrey Kayange, Collins Injera and Louis Kisia, Mwamba will certainly relish their chances against a Nakuru side they have always given stiff opposition in days gone by.
Nakuru’s confidence has been rattled this season and the onus is upon the likes of Leslie Ochieng, Philip Kwame, Dalmus Chituyi, Oscar Ouma and Edwins Makori to rally the troops to a result against Mwamba on Saturday.
