The Nationwide League entered its second week in three regions: Nairobi, Rift Valley and Central.
In the Nairobi Universities category, MKU Stingers scored the highest score of the season so far as they saw off Multimedia University 98-3, a win that sets them on top of the table. MKU Stingers are followed by Daystar Falcons who beat hosts Nazarene University 39-0 in Rongai. The Administration Police also did not leave anything to chance as they beat Moh Spice RFC 54-3. Elsewhere Cooperative University KCA 29-12 while the Pioneer versus TUK was a walk over awarded to TUK.
In the Nairobi Clubs, Swara have more or less secured their position at the top for the foreseeable future as they beat the Dagoretti Bulldogs 64-6. Northern Suburbs come in second in the standings after their 45-3 win over Masaku in Machakos. Makueni beat Stormers 37-15 while Shamas reigned victorious in their match against Comras beating them 27-3. Vandals secured their first win of the season beating second string of Catholic Monks 18-6.
Central Region
The biggest win of this region came from Embu RFC as they beat Thika 61-0, this was the first match of the season for the two sides. Meru got past Zetech University with a 23-10 win while the University derby in this region saw MKU Thika hand JKUAT Cougars a 6-10 loss. Nanyuki were awarded a walk over as Karatina failed to show up. A one-point difference handed Murang’a their first win as they beat Chuka 17-16 as Kiambu beat Dedan Kimathi 17-0.
Rift Valley region had one walk over awarded to Nandi in their fixture against Molo. Other Week two matches have been postponed to a later date.
