29 year old Moses Ndungú takes charge of Saturday’s Kenya Cup final between Kabras Sugar and defending champions KCB.

Ndung’u,who began officiating at the age of 21, is an alumnus of Kiambu High School where he developed an interest in the game, eventually featuring for the school team. He continued playing the game at the United States International University before making the change to officiating in 2013.

He has risen through the ranks, eventually officiating the pre-season Impala Floodlit final in 2017 before taking charge of the 2018/19 Kenya Cup final in Kakamega.

He lists South African match official Craig Joubert as his international role model while locally he notes that John Karimi, John Bosco Muamba and Sammy Kariuki have played a pivotal role in his progression as a match official.

Ndungú will be assisted by Godwin Karuga and Constant Cap.
