The last unbeaten records in the KRU Championship fell this past weekend as South Coast Pirates and Impala lost their respective assignments.
Pirates fell to a 27-18 defeat away to the Daystar Falcons while Impala lost 27-7 away to Masinde Muliro.
Despite the defeats, Pirates and Impala remained at the top of the log, level on 23 points though it is the Pirates superior goal difference putting them in pole position.
Mean Machine finally got off the blocks, defeating Kabarak University 12-0 at the University of Nairobi ground for their first win of the campaign, a result that lifted them off the bottom of the table.
Other matches on Saturday saw JKUAT Cougars defeat UoE Trojans 33-3 while Mombasa were 20-5 winners over USIU Martials.
