There will be plenty at stake when Nondescripts host Top Fry Nakuru in the day’s top bill at the Jamhuri Park on Saturday 11 February.
Nondies, 17 time Kenya Cup champions currently sit eighth on the log, just two places off the playoff slots and come into this fixture well aware of what a win means in terms of their ambitions.
Christian Josiah’s charges haven’t been at all shabby this campaign, displaying plenty of grit and determination, refusing to be easily put to the sword every time they have stepped out for Kenya Cup action.
His side certainly has the panache to step up to their opponents and will certainly relish the challenge that sixth placed Nakuru will pose.
Benjamin Marshall and Dennis Ombachi’s burgeoning midfield partnership will again be tested while scrumhalf Evans Musili, unavailable for last weekend’s 15-31 away loss to Kabras Sugar returns to the starting lineup.
Nakuru, back to back Kenya Cup champions in 2013 & 2014 are boosted by the return of combative backrow Dalmus Chituyi . Chituyi has been out of action since being injured in the 26-28 Impala Floodlit semifinal loss to KCB.
Enos Otieno’s charges have overcome a shaky start to the season to string together results that have lifted them into playoff contention as they seek a return to the championship match on 22nd April.
Remember, there is plenty to play for, either side only too aware of the consequences of slipping up and this should make for interesting rugby action on Saturday.
The two sides released their match day squads on Friday morning
