Home side Resolution Impala Saracens host defending champions Top Fry Nakuru in Saturday’s late kick off under the Impala Club lights.
Ninth placed Impala are coming off a run of two straight losses that followed their 33-22 Ngong Road derby win over Quins on Saturday 22 November. Saturday night’s encounter gives them the perfect platform to bounce back to winning ways from the losses to Strathmore and KCB, and what better way to do so than with a win against the reigning Kenya Cup champions.
Sammy Oliech has consistently shone for the hosts and is expected to once again bring his A game to the party. Admittedly though, Impala have struggled without Nato Simiyu and he should be influential if available for selection as his side cannot afford to slip further in the quest for playoff qualification at the end of February.
Top Fry Nakuru lie second, five wins from five outings, 24 points cumulated. Their task at the Impala Club is simple, to emerge victorious but they will have to approach this game with discipline and avoid complacency setting in as Impala will be out to prove that they are no push overs.
Key for Dominique Habimana’s side will be the captain Mike Okombe, Edwins Makori, Martin Muita and Kelvin Omiyo.
Both sides will name their squads later in the week.
Kick off: 7.00pm
Date: Saturday 20 December 2014
Venue: Impala Club
