KCB were the day’s biggest winners as the Kenya Cup continued with match day three action on Saturday 11 December 2021.
The defending champions crushed 2013 & 2014 champions Topfry Nakuru 62-5 at the KCB Sports Club while Kabras Sugar were 46-17 winners over Mwamba in Kakamega.
Other fixtures played saw the Strathmore Leos make it three wins from three with a 22-12 result over Resolution Impala Saracens.
Menengai Oilers defeated Nondescripts 29-5 in Nakuru while over at the RFUEA Ground, Quins built on a 14-13 half time lead to edge Masinde Muliro 21-20.
Byron Ogada drilled home a drop goal to put Masinde Muliro 3-0 up but Mark Wandetto’s converted try saw the hosts take the lead. Another converted effort from Meshack Akenga put Quins 14-3 up before the varsity students responded with a converted Brian Ndeda try, the scores 14-10, before Ogada drilled home a penalty.
The second half ebbed and flowed, Quins landing their third converted try through ex-Kabras man Johnstone Mungáu before Masinde Muliro landed a converted try at the death.
Blak Blad registered their first win of their season, defeating Homeboyz 28-0 at the KCB Sports Club.
