The Kenya Harlequins proved to the Strathmore Leos what being Sure Strong and Superior means on Sunday 24th February when they beat them 41-23 at the RFUEA Grounds. This fixture was initially scheduled to take place on 23rd February but both teams had prior commitments that resulted in them changing the fixture to 24th.
Strathmore was leading 18-15 at the breather having scored two tries by Clinton Imbuye and Cecil Otieno. Andrew Matoka managed to convert Otieno’s try and two penalties later on in the match. The hosts 15 points came from three tries by Captain Peter Misango, Jasper Ochieng and Roxy Dan Suchi all conversions sailing wide.
Come second half, the Charles Cardovillis charges registered 26 points to their name while managing to concede just five points. Iddi Kakai, David Ambunya, Patrice Agunda and Kevin Angote all scored a try each for the quartered shirts with Jasper Ochieng drilling in three conversions successfully. Leos solitary try in the second half was scored in the 78th minute of the match but the conversion went wide.
