Resolution Impala Saracens compounded the Strathmore Leos woes with a 29-14 win in Kenya Cup match day eight action at the Impala Club on Saturday 14 January 2017.
Plagued by a massive player exodus this season, the Leos win-loss ratio has slanted heavily in favour of the losses and Saturday’s defeat left Mitch Ocholla’s charges with a mountain to climb if they are to qualify for the Top Six playoffs and stay in the hunt for a maiden league title.
The Sarries led 16-0 at the interval courtesy of unconverted tries from Davis Makori and captain Joel Omer, Quinto Ongo adding two penalties.
John Oduk’s converted effort after the restart brought the score to 16-7 before Ongo landed a third penalty as the Sarries led 19-7.
Mohamed Omollo landed twice, securing the bonus point while stretching the lead to 29-7 before the Leos grabbed a late converted effort.
