Resolution Impala Saracens reached the Enterprise Cup semifinal with a 25-15 win over next door neighbors SportPesa Quins in quarterfinal action at the Impala Club on Saturday 13 May 2017.
It was Quins who opened the scoring, Kevin Keegan drilling home an early penalty for a 3-0 lead but the Sarries, finding their rhythm and gaining impetus, responded through Richard Sidindi’s try, George Okowa converting for a 7-3 lead.
Both sides would engage in a tedious pursuit for dominance but it was the Sarries who shaded it, Mohamed Omolo going over with Okowa’s conversion giving Frank Ndong’s side a 14-3 lead at the interval.
Okowa would drill home a penalty after the restart to give the hosts a 17-3 lead before Isaac Adimo went over, Keegan converting to bring the score to 17-10.
David Ahawo would cap a period of sustained pressure, going over but Keegan missed the ensuing conversion that would have tied the game.
Joel Omer scored off the back of a rolling maul as the Sarries sought to end the clash on a high before Mohamed Omollo drilled home a penalty , a 10 point buffet sealing the result and ending a streak of successive losses to Quins.
Up next for the Sarries is a semifinal fixture away to Kabras Sugar on Saturday 20 May.
