All eyes will be on the ASK Jamhuri Park Showground just off Ngong Road in Nairobi when red hot Menengai Cream Homeboyz host Kabras Sugar in match day 14 action on Saturday 4 March.
Paul Murunga’s deejays sit third on the log with 47 points off 9 wins and 3 defeats. They are yet to loss a match in 2017 and will be out to carry their form into the playoffs, probably even challenge for the title. With the likes of young Steve Anthony Otieno, the assured second row duet of Andrew Chogo and Emmanuel Mavala and the terrier like Philip Ikambili at hooker, Homeboyz have excelled in the forwards, standing up to all opposition this campaign.
They do boast a potent backline that features Cyprian Kuto, Max Kang’eri, Tony Onyango , Kelvin Masai and will be out to exploit their strengths against the defending Kenya Cup champions.
Kabras began the season on a rather meek note, but as was the case last season, have burst into life and gained momentum where it matters. Close season signing Philip Wokorach has seamlessly gelled into the team, contributing 52 points in his six appearances to date. He will again be counted on to spur the sugarmillers to victory. Other key players for the sugar millers will be Max Adaka, Sava Racigi and George Nyambua.
This match kicks off at 4.00pm
