The 2021/22 KRU Championship kicks off on Saturday 4 December 2021 with six matches on the cards. The competition will be played on a one-off, round robin basis with the top four sides qualifying for the semis with the final set for Saturday 19 March 2022.
There are tough opening fixtures for newly promoted sides Shamas and Kabarak who start their campaigns away.
Shamas, winners of the third tier KRU Nationwide league begin with a clash away to former Kenya Cup side Kisumu while Kabarak, runners up in the third tier play away to another former Kenya Cup side, Western Bulls.
Three time Kenya Cup Champions Mean Machine start their quest for a return to the top tier with a home clash against the Catholic Monks as Northern Suburbs host the University of Eldoret Trojans.
Egerton Wasps and Eldoret face in Njoro as USIU Martials take on the South Coast Pirates in Nairobi.
