Week three in the KRU Championship league sees three teams go unbeaten. Catholic Monks, USIU and Western Bulls remain top of the table. All three teams have a total of 13 points each but are separated by the Point differences.
Monks are sitting top of the table with a PD of 42, USIU comes in second with a PD of 38 while Western Bulls are third on the log with a PD of 22 points.
Kisumu RFC suffered their first loss of the season going down 19-22 to Resolution Kisii who secured their second win in the league after this match. At the Bull Ring, the hosts secured their third win as they beat Kitale RFC 24-10.
The newly promoted Kitale RFC have two losses and One win the Championship league while their counterparts Masinde Muliro who are currently ranked 7th with one win and two losses beat the University of Eldoret 17-10.
Monks beat Ngong RFC 16-6 in a fixture played at the Catholic University. In the Coast Region, Mombasa RFC lost 17-21 to USIU at the Mombasa Sports Club while in Ukunda, South Coast Pirates managed to score one penalty kick against Egerton Wasps’ try and conversion.
