Mean Machine and Thika meet in a basement clash at the University of Nairobi’s Kabete Campus, both sides going in pursuit of their first win this term.
Machine are placed 13th in the 14 team log, having lost three of three, managing one unconverted try while shipping in 118 points, an average of 60 points a game. This fixture would have been a straightforward one for the three time Kenya Cup champions in days gone by but now they must plot ways of overcoming what is potentially a difficult opponent.
Thika sit 12th on the log. They have been unable to score in their three previous losses but have a bonus point that was garnered in the 0-5 loss to Blak Blad on match day two. They were crushed 97-0 by Kenya Harlequin last weekend but will certainly fancy their chances against a mellow Machine outfit.
