The Women’s Kenya Cup takes place this Saturday 26th February at the RFUEA and Impala Grounds respectively with Mwamba playing Top Fry Nakuru at 11:00am at RFUEA before Yamanashi Impala takes on Northern Suburbs at Impala at 1:00pm.
The favourites, Yamanashi Impala, have gone unbeaten in the inaugural Kenya Cup league securing five victories in the five matches. They take on fourth-placed Northern Suburbs. The latter has secured two victories over Ruck It and Homeboyz but they suffered three losses in the hands of Top Fry Nakuru, Yamanashi Impala, and most recently to Mwamba RFC.
The other semifinal sees Mwamba RFC welcome Top Fry Nakuru RFC to the RFUEA Grounds. Mwamba’s single loss this season was in the hands of Impala while Nakuru started their season on a low note, they managed to bounce back with victories over Northern Suburbs, RuckIt and Homeboyz.
The eventual winners will face off on Saturday 12th March in the final where the first ever Women’s Kenya Cup winner will lift the trophy.
