The KRU Championship League has Strathmore Leos and Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology in the first and second positions respectively. Both sides have won their opening three matches, however, Strathmore leos are top with a total of 14 points while MMUST has 13 points.
The Leos crushed Catholic Monks 40-10 in Madaraka while MMUST registered a staggering 38 points across Eldoret RFC’s try line and they also managed to keep a clean sheet at that.
The Coastal fixture pitting South Coast Pirates against Mombasa saw the Pirates walk away with a comfortable and hard earned 36-3 win. Mean Machine picked up their first win of the season when they beat the Northern Suburbs Cubs 36-3 at the University of Nairobi grounds.
In Nakuru County, Egerton Wasps also secured their first win of the season with a 21-15 score against third placed University of Eldoret. USIU RFC were awarded a walk over after their opponents Kisii RFC failed to honour the fixture.
