The new KRU Championship kicks off on Saturday 5 November 2016 with a total of six matches on the cards.
Resolution Kisii host USIU in a potentially mouth-watering encounter at the Gusii Stadium. The North Rift town of Eldoret hosts a cross town derby between hosts Moi University and the University of Eldoret, town and campus bragging rights as well as a jumpstart in the quest for Kenya Cup promotion on the cards for the winners.
Thika RFC, relegated from last season’s top tier, start their campaign with a clash at home to the Kemu Pitbulls at the Thika Stadium while the JKUAT Cougars are at home to 1997 Enterprise Cup champions Mombasa.
The Catholic Monks play host to Ukunda’s South Coast Pirates at the CUEA Grounds in Kareng’ata while former Kenya Cup sides Kisumu and Bungoma Sharks face off at the Mamboleo Showground in Kisumu.
