On match day five of the KRU Championship league, the log leaders Masinde Muliro will be welcoming the JKUAT cougars in Kakamega. MMUST have so far gone unbeaten and stand top of the table with a total of 20 points having picked up a bonus point in each of their victories, JKUAT on-the-other-hand have only secured two wins in the four matches which places them in position seven of the table with a total of 9 points.
Daystar Falcons are second on the log as they also have secured four wins but managed in one of the games, they failed to attain the bonus point leaving them with 19 points to their name. They will be facing sixth-placed Western Bulls who have won three out of the four matches they have played.
Eighth-placed Mombasa RFC will make the journey to Ngong on Saturday to face Homeboyz RFC who are sitting in third position on the log while third-placed Catholic Monks will meet the UOE Trojans at Catholic University. Monks are placed fourth with 14 points but they have a game in hand as their match against USIU-A Martials was postponed to a later date due to academic purposes. As for the Trojans, they are yet to register a victory to their name and as such they are currently eleventh on the log, one position above the TUM Marines who are twelfth.
TUM will be hosting Mean Machine at Sea Creast Grounds in Diani, Machine is also yet to secure a victory this season. Both sides will be hunting for their first victory of the season
Zetech Oaks will play the USIU-A Martials at Zetech University in the Thika Road action. Zetech have so far secured three wins while USIU will be looking to earn their first win of the league.
